Trek's Travels

Trek likes to travel, spreading the word of Hope to all women and men who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Take Trek with you on your vacation. Trek in Peru

Trek in Antarctica

I went from -30 to +30 to 0C. in my February holiday. I left Winnipeg to go to Antarctica, via Buenos Aires. I have included a picture of me at the base of an Argentinian ombu tree, with a close-up as I was kind of dwarfed by it, and 2 pictures of me in Antarctica with my mom, Holly. In one you will see some of those odd penguin creatures to prove I was really there, as it kind of seems like a dream. Antarctica was beautiful with incredible glaciers and icebergs and full of wildlife — although no bears except me.  - Trek

Trek in Rodez, France

My name is Jenn. My mom battled breast cancer in the year of 2002. This year I was preparing to go on an exchange to France. I was at CAA when I noticed Trek the Hope Bear. I thought, what a good way to raise money for CancerCare Manitoba and yet have fun at the same time. Trek the Hope Bear spent three months with me in Rodez, France enjoying the French food, culture and way of life. Here are two pictures: one of Hélène, my exchange partner, and I with Trek outside the Rodez Cathedral and the other one of just Hélène and Trek. Rodez is a small town of approximately 50,000 people and the Rodez Cathedral is the biggest building in the town, visible above all else, and stands downtown or in "le centre ville" as they say in French.  - Jenn

Trek's European Vacation

My name is Mélanie Guigueno and I’m a 20-year-old university science student. I was a World Youth Day pilgrim in Cologne, Germany this summer and I met Catholics from all over the world. Since I was already travelling to Europe for WYD, I decided to backpack through England, France and Italy and take Trek the Hope Bear with me. I have taken 12 photos of him at various places.

Trek delivers mail

Kerstin Negård has been delivering mail by bicycle for over 30 years in Saltsjö-Baden, Sweden. On a visit to Winnipeg she was presented with Trek by her cousin Carol. Trek is now an itegral part of her job, sorting and delivering mail.

Trek in Disney World

Hello there! We just go back from our family vacation and boy of boy, did Trek have a wonderful time. Trek got to go to Disney World. We took some photos of Trek at the Magical Kingdom. He had a blast checking out the Castle and seeing all of the exciting sites at Disney World in Orlando. It was pretty hot for a bear to be in Florida but he managed to keep his cool. His favourite spot was the Animal Kingdom where he saw and learned about some animals he has never seen before. Trek is glad to be home though. Travelling can be tiring.

Trek goes Cruising

Our Aunt Paulette who lives in Winnipeg brought us a Hope Bear when she came down to visit us in Denver, Colorado in September. We took our bear with us when we went on vacation to Disney World and then down to the Bahamas on the Disney Cruise. I work for Home Hardware and in September I gave Trek to my co-workers to bring down to St. Jacob, Ontario for the Home Hardware Fall Market. We left our home town of Minitonas, MB and drove to Melville, SK where we hopped on the VIA train with my mom, Anna Wagner, and my Aunt Carrie Nash and rode the train to Edmonton, AB.
